Lesley University is seeking experienced, mission-driven educators to join our pool of Adjunct Faculty for The Lesley Institute for Trauma Sensitivity (LIFTS) — an evergreen opportunity supporting graduate-level instruction across the United States.
About the Role
As Adjunct Faculty for The Lesley Institute for Trauma Sensitivity, you will teach within our graduate-level Trauma and Learning certificate program. This full-time, on-campus and in-person opportunity at Lesley University centers on helping practicing educators build classrooms and schools where learners affected by trauma can thrive. Courses are delivered through a blend of online and in-person formats, with the core LIFTS sequence on the Impact of Trauma on Learning taught primarily in person within district and school settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach graduate-level courses within the Trauma and Learning (LIFTS) certificate program, both online and in person.
- Prepare and deliver engaging instruction grounded in trauma-sensitive teaching and learning practices.
- Support K–12 educators in designing and sustaining trauma-sensitive learning environments.
- Guide students through the foundational coursework on the impact of trauma on learning and development.
- Provide meaningful feedback, mentorship, and assessment to graduate-level learners.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed or trauma-sensitive education and learning.
- Experience teaching, coaching, or supporting educators at the graduate or professional level.
- Comfort working across both online and in-person, district-based instructional settings.
- A strong commitment to equitable, learner-centered, and trauma-sensitive practice.
