Role Overview
As an Account Executive with AvidXchange, Inc. based in Virtual, you will concentrate on acquiring new customers by generating fresh opportunities through purposeful outreach. The position demands residency inside a defined region plus frequent travel there to develop contacts and advance deals. Success depends on a process-driven sales approach, technical fluency with the solutions, and consistent productivity that meets company benchmarks while delivering strong experiences for every prospect, client, and reseller.
Key Responsibilities
- Surpass monthly revenue targets and lead-generation goals tied to assigned customer segments
- Reside within the designated region and travel extensively inside it to cultivate relationships and uncover opportunities
- Create outstanding purchasing experiences for prospects, current customers, and reseller partners
- Manage leads, activities, and pipeline using Salesforce.com and Gong to drive closed revenue and report insights to leadership
- Serve as a polished representative of AvidXchange, Inc. and its full suite of offerings
- Build client enthusiasm by demonstrating practical ways to apply the company’s solutions
- Foster team success by exchanging effective techniques and sustaining a competitive, positive perspective
- Structure calling and appointment time strategically to generate qualified leads, progress decisions, and finalize agreements
- Satisfy established productivity standards and service-level expectations
- Surface new selling approaches and recommend them to leadership
- Travel at least 50 percent of the time to support regional relationship and pipeline development
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent plus a minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, marketing, accounting, computer science or SaaS-related field preferred together with three or more years of vertical experience
- Combined inside and outside sales background, ideally from financial services, software, technology or adjacent firms
- Working knowledge of AR/AP accounting practices and related systems
- Experience with automated accounts payable tools or selling utilities solutions preferred
- Competitive understanding of the AP marketplace preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar contact-management platforms
- Documented record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
- Prior SaaS, AP automation or B2B payments selling experience preferred
- Proven ability to form relationships with senior decision makers in corporate payments roles such as AP Managers, Controllers, CFOs, CEOs and IT leaders
- Capacity to identify strategic priorities, business needs and pain points
- Skill in applying a solutions-selling method to guide prospects through decision stages
- Results orientation supported by self-motivation
- Talent for constructing persuasive reasons to buy through company messaging and value propositions
- Ability to neutralize business and competitive objections and win deals
- Strong time-management discipline that maximizes productivity
- Technical readiness to operate and demonstrate the products
- Judicious approach to pricing discussions and solid negotiation skills
- Proactive, self-directed learning style and capacity to adapt quickly to change and new technologies
