About the Role

The 2nd Assistant Softball Coach works alongside the head coach and associate coach to build a competitive, disciplined, and supportive athletic program. You'll play a key role in player development, game preparation, and fostering a positive team culture at one of Trimble County's premier athletic programs.

What You'll Do

• Conduct skill development and conditioning sessions, focusing on fundamentals, hitting, fielding, and base running
• Assist with game strategy, opponent preparation, and in-game coaching during practices and competition
• Work directly with assigned players to improve technique, confidence, and athletic performance
• Support team discipline and enforce program standards both on and off the field
• Help coordinate practice schedules, field setup, and equipment management
• Contribute to recruiting, retention, and player motivation initiatives
• Model leadership, sportsmanship, and a commitment to academic and athletic excellence

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience coaching or playing competitive softball at the high school level or higher
• Strong knowledge of softball mechanics, strategy, and player development
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, coaches, and administrators
• Commitment to building a positive, inclusive, and productive team environment
• Flexibility and willingness to support the broader athletic program as needed
• Current certification or ability to obtain coaching certification as required by Kentucky high school athletics
