About the Role

As the Global Market Development Manager for Protein Expression and Viral Delivery at ThermoFisher Scientific, you will own the market strategy for a portfolio that sits at the heart of biological discovery and gene-modified therapies. Working on-site in College Estates, you will translate customer needs and scientific trends into growth plans that have a measurable, worldwide impact. The position follows a standard Monday–Friday schedule in an office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global market development strategy for the protein expression and viral delivery portfolio.
• Identify emerging opportunities across research, biopharma, and cell and gene therapy markets.
• Partner with commercial, product management, and R&D teams to align positioning, messaging, and launch plans.
• Analyze competitive dynamics, customer segments, and pricing to guide data-informed decisions.
• Drive demand-generation initiatives and support sales enablement on a global scale.

Qualifications

• Background in life sciences, biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline, ideally with familiarity in protein expression and viral delivery systems.
• Demonstrated experience in market development, product marketing, or commercial strategy.
• Strong analytical skills paired with the ability to turn insight into actionable plans.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication abilities.
• Willingness to work on-site at a designated Thermo Fisher location.
