School Nutrition Engagement Education Coordinator

Westbrook School Department is hiring a full-time School Nutrition Engagement Education Coordinator to strengthen the connection between our School Nutrition Program and the students, families, and communities we serve across the district in the United States (nationwide).

About the Role

As the School Nutrition Engagement Education Coordinator, you will work directly under the guidance of the School Nutrition Director to promote and grow participation in the district's nutrition program. This is a districtwide, paraprofessional/non-instructional position centered on outreach, communication, and community engagement. If you are passionate about student wellness and enjoy connecting with people, this role offers a meaningful way to support healthy eating throughout Westbrook School Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with students, families, and the broader public to encourage involvement in the School Nutrition Program.
• Coordinate outreach and engagement initiatives across all schools in the district.
• Share clear information about nutrition program offerings and how families can take part.
• Support the School Nutrition Director in carrying out program goals and community-facing activities.
• Help raise awareness of school meal services among the communities Westbrook School Department serves.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and the general public.
• Ability to organize and deliver outreach and engagement efforts across multiple school sites.
• Comfort working under the direction of the School Nutrition Director within a paraprofessional/non-instructional capacity.
• Enthusiasm for supporting student nutrition and community engagement.
• Willingness to work on-site across the district (this is not a remote position).
