The Opportunity
American Traveler is currently seeking a travel nurse registered professional (RN) for a perianesthesia care unit (PACU) position in Chico, California. This role offers a 13-week assignment starting on August 31, 2026, with the potential for flexible shifts and a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients post-anesthesia in the PACU setting
- Evaluate patient conditions and administer necessary treatments or medications as required by protocol
- Document all patient interactions, vital signs, and treatment outcomes accurately and timely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions for patients
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of practice
What We're Looking For
- A registered professional (RN) license in the state of California
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a PACU or similar post-anesthesia care setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals
