Role Overview
Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our vascular surgery team in New Albany. This full-time position focuses on flexible weekend coverage, providing inpatient hospital rounding and adult patient care at Baptist Health Louisville and Baptist Health Floyd.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive vascular surgical care for adult patients
- Conduct inpatient hospital rounds and manage patient cases
- Assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
- Perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain medical records
- Support weekend-focused schedule: four 10-hour shifts, Friday through Monday, or three 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday
What You Bring
- Master’s degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies (Physician Assistant)
- Licensed and in good standing as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Kentucky
- Minimum 3 years of experience in vascular surgery, preferably with adult patients
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
