About This Position
We are seeking a Head of Engineering, Foundations to lead our team responsible for critical infrastructure that supports $200B+ in assets and $90B in money movement. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role has company-level scope and involves making foundational decisions that impact how we handle non-human users like agents within our systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers focused on building and maintaining core infrastructure for the company.
- Make strategic decisions regarding new features, including sandboxing, audit trails, and rollback mechanisms for systems that handle real money.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for engineering initiatives.
- Directly contribute to the development of new products and services, ensuring they meet company standards for precision, urgency, and long-term thinking.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in a high-growth technology environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive engineering initiatives from conception to completion.
- Experience with building secure, scalable systems that handle real money transactions.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices and the ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
