Role Overview

We are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join our team based in Summerhill, Polegate. As a Health & Safety Advisor for Highways & Civils, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety on site and working closely with operational teams to improve safety practices. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 - £40,000 per annum.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks
• Developing and implementing safety training programs for operational teams
• Providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to enhance overall safety performance
• Documenting findings, recommendations, and actions taken to maintain a safe working environment

What We're Looking For

• A proven track record in health and safety within the highways and civils sector
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
• Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs
• Familiarity with relevant health and safety legislation and standards
• A proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential hazards
• The ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
