What This Role Involves

The Clinical Director of Emergency Medicine (CMO) position at Yass District Hospital requires a highly skilled and experienced GP Specialist or Senior ED Medical Officer to cover the Emergency Department from 0800-1730 on September 6th. The role involves being the sole doctor in charge, with a Ward doctor available for support if needed.

• Provide medical care to patients in the Emergency Department
• Assist the Ward when required
• Ensure patient safety and quality of care
• Contribute to the overall management of the hospital's emergency services

Your Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the Emergency Department operations during their shift
• Maintaining patient records and documentation accurately
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
• Participating in hospital-wide initiatives and quality improvement programs

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly qualified GP Specialist or Senior ED Medical Officer who:

• Holds a current medical license to practice in NSW, Australia
• Has extensive experience in Emergency Medicine
• Possesses strong leadership and communication skills
• Is committed to providing high-quality patient care
