About the Role

At Sur La Table, you'll be the in-store expert and advocate for all things baking and pastry arts. Your role involves delivering exceptional in-store culinary experiences focused on pastry and baking classes that reflect our passion for food, teaching, and high standards. You will represent our brand by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.

Your responsibilities include:

• Delivering an exceptional in-store culinary experience focused on pastry and baking classes
• Communicating technical concepts and advanced pastry skills in a clear, encouraging, and approachable manner
• Following provided recipes and game plans to ensure consistency and quality
• Supporting all company initiatives through hands-on pastry classes and engaging culinary instruction

Core Duties

Your key responsibilities include:

• Representing Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty
• Focusing on delivering an exceptional in-store culinary experience centered around pastry and baking classes
• Communicating technical concepts and advanced pastry skills clearly to customers
• Ensuring consistency and quality through the use of provided recipes and game plans
• Supporting company initiatives by driving sales of bakeware, mixers, and decorating tools through hands-on pastry classes and engaging culinary instruction

Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A strong background in baking and pastry arts
• The ability to communicate technical concepts and advanced skills clearly and encouragingly
• An understanding of customer experience and brand representation
• Experience in delivering hands-on culinary classes
• A passion for food, teaching, and high standards
