About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Rib Mountain, Wisconsin. This full-time position requires a strong commitment to patient care and a passion for working in an intensive care setting.
What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Intensive Monitoring Center (IMC)
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform advanced life support procedures including ventilator management and tracheostomy care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care in the electronic health record (Epic preferred)
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Wisconsin required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Stepdown, Intermediate/Monitoring Center, or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings is required
- ICU experience preferred
- Trauma Level II certification a plus
- Ventilator and trach care experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience highly desired
