What This Role Involves
This role involves working in the operating room (OR) as a Circulator and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse. You will be responsible for ensuring patient safety during surgery by managing supplies, equipment, and communication with the surgical team. In PACU, you’ll provide post-operative care to ensure patients recover safely from anesthesia.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of the operating room environment
- Manage patient flow and logistics during surgeries
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly before and after procedures
- Communicate effectively with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide post-operative care in PACU to ensure patients are comfortable and safe until they recover from anesthesia
- Maintain patient records and documentation accurately
Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of Colorado
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience as an OR Circulator or PACU RN preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure during emergencies
- Familiarity with sterile techniques and infection control practices
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
