Patient Service Representative

Success comes from clear communication, calm multitasking across phones and in-person traffic, and prior familiarity with medical office workflows. Core Duties

• Welcome and process patients as they arrive and complete their visits
• Handle incoming calls and coordinate appointment bookings, changes, and confirmations
• Confirm insurance coverage, benefits, and demographic details
• Gather copays, remaining balances, and needed paperwork
• Keep electronic medical record schedules and documentation current and organized
• Address inquiries about billing, referrals, treatments, and visit updates
• Facilitate seamless handoffs among patients, physicians, and clinic staff
• Resolve scheduling or service concerns with empathy and composure
• Uphold an orderly and inviting front-desk area while managing shifting priorities

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of customer service background
• Proven strength in patient communication and accurate multitasking across phones, registration, and scheduling
• Comfort in a busy outpatient medical office or clinic pace
• Precision when managing personal information, records, and appointments
• Professional presence that calms concerns and supports teamwork
• Familiarity with electronic medical record platforms and related healthcare tools
• Spanish and English bilingual ability preferred to serve diverse patients
• Background in medical front desk, patient access, healthcare scheduling, insurance verification, medical reception, outpatient clinics, dental offices, urgent care, specialty practices, EMR systems, call centers, or patient registration strongly valued
