Scaffold Driver / Scaffold Crew Lead

Position Summary

As the Scaffold Driver / Scaffold Crew Lead you will oversee daily crew activities while operating vehicles to move scaffolding components between staging areas and active job locations. This hands-on leadership role supports safe, efficient project delivery across the Bradenton area and gives candidates a chance to advance within Hhcp careers through demonstrated reliability and team coordination. The position requires both technical knowledge of scaffold systems and the practical ability to direct crew members under varying site conditions.

Core Duties

• Operate company vehicles to transport scaffolding materials, tools, and components to and from worksites
• Plan and direct crew members in the assembly, modification, and dismantling of scaffold structures according to site requirements
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure loads are properly secured before departure
• Supervise on-site safety practices and verify that erected scaffolds meet required standards before use
• Coordinate daily work assignments, material staging, and hand-offs with superintendents or site contacts
• Conduct brief toolbox talks and coach crew members on proper techniques and hazard awareness
• Maintain accurate counts of equipment and report shortages, damage, or maintenance needs promptly
• Support efficient crew productivity while keeping the work area organized and free of unnecessary hazards

What We're Looking For

• Documented experience erecting or leading crews on tubular, system, or frame scaffolding
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record suitable for operating material transport vehicles
• Solid understanding of common scaffold components, load limits, and fall-protection requirements
• Proven ability to direct small crews, assign tasks, and maintain clear communication on active sites
• Comfort working at heights, outdoors, and in changing weather typical of the Bradenton region
• Basic mechanical aptitude for minor equipment checks and readiness to follow all safety protocols
• Physical capability to lift, carry, and position materials as part of routine scaffold operations
