Director, Business Intelligence

Mexcor is hiring a Director, Business Intelligence for a full-time remote position serving the United States, where you will shape enterprise analytics strategy and help teams convert data into clear, actionable insight.

About This Position

This Director, Business Intelligence role owns the vision for how Mexcor turns information into decisions. You will set priorities for reporting, self-service analytics, and performance measurement; partner closely with executive stakeholders; and build practices that keep insights trustworthy, accessible, and aligned with business goals. Working fully remote within the United States, you will balance strategic roadmapping with hands-on leadership of analytics delivery, data quality standards, and tool adoption so leaders and operators can act with confidence.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Define and advance the Business Intelligence strategy, governance model, and multi-quarter roadmap for dashboards, metrics, and analytical capability.
• Lead cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex questions into prioritized use cases, KPI frameworks, and executive-ready storytelling.
• Direct design and delivery of enterprise reports, interactive visualizations, and self-service analytic products that scale across teams.
• Oversee data quality practices, semantic layer clarity, and consistency of definitions so metrics remain reliable and well documented.
• Coach and develop analytics talent while coordinating work with data engineering and related technology partners on pipelines and platforms.
• Evaluate BI and analytics tooling options, optimize usage of existing investments, and champion adoption and training programs.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and measure the impact of analytic initiatives on operational and strategic outcomes.

Requirements

• Proven senior leadership experience directing Business Intelligence, analytics, or enterprise reporting functions.
• Deep fluency with modern BI platforms, SQL-based analysis, dimensional modeling concepts, and dashboard design best practices.
• Demonstrated success partnering with executives to define metrics, prioritize analytic initiatives, and drive adoption of data-informed decisions.
• Strong grasp of data governance, quality assurance approaches, and how analytics depend on reliable underlying data foundations.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences, plus the ability to manage priorities in a remote, full-time United States setting.
• Background building or mentoring high-performing analytics teams and establishing repeatable processes for delivery and measurement.
