Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, procurement agreements, master service deals, and related commercial documents
• Advise internal stakeholders on risk allocation, change orders, claims management, and performance terms throughout project lifecycles
• Identify and address legal risks arising from vendor selection, bidding processes, and supply-chain arrangements
• Ensure contracts and procurement practices align with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational standards
• Lead coordination with external counsel when specialized advice or dispute resolution support is required
• Train and guide colleagues on best practices for construction documentation and procurement compliance
• Monitor developments in construction and procurement law that could affect ongoing or planned activities

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a state bar, with California admission preferred given the San Francisco, California location
• Proven experience as counsel handling construction contracts and complex procurement matters in a lead or senior capacity
• Demonstrated skill in drafting, negotiation, and risk evaluation for multi-party commercial agreements
• Strong ability to communicate clear legal recommendations to non-legal colleagues under time-sensitive conditions
• Capacity to prioritize multiple transactions, mentor team members, and maintain high standards of thoroughness and integrity
