Your Responsibilities

• Greet patients, collect medical histories, and record vital signs prior to provider examinations
• Assist physicians and advanced practice clinicians during routine procedures, exams, and treatments
• Prepare examination rooms, ensure instruments and supplies are stocked and ready, and maintain a clean clinical area
• Document patient information and clinical notes accurately within the electronic health record system
• Administer basic clinical tasks such as injections, phlebotomy, or point-of-care testing according to established protocols and training
• Support patient flow by scheduling follow-ups, delivering clear instructions, and coordinating communication with other care team members
• Uphold infection-control standards, privacy requirements, and all clinic safety practices

Skills & Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program
• Solid understanding of patient rooming, vital signs measurement, and basic clinical procedures common in family medicine
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and the ability to document clearly and efficiently
• Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, professional approach when interacting with patients of all ages
• Attention to detail, reliable attendance, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinic
• Current BLS certification preferred; willingness to complete any additional clinic-specific skills training
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior medical assisting experience in an outpatient setting is helpful but not always mandatory
