• Commission installs on site, validate signal flow and control logic, and resolve issues before project handover.
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, equipment lists, and functional requirements to guide programming decisions.
• Produce clear code documentation, system notes, and configuration records for ongoing support and future upgrades.
• Collaborate with project managers, system designers, and installation crews to keep timelines and technical goals aligned.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting assistance and firmware or logic updates after systems go live.
• Share knowledge with colleagues and help maintain programming standards across concurrent Markham-area projects.

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated senior-level experience programming audiovisual control systems for commercial or institutional environments.
• Hands-on proficiency with leading control platforms and associated development environments commonly used in professional AV work.
• Solid grasp of audiovisual signal flow, networked AV technologies, and basic networking principles that affect control systems.
• Ability to produce clean, maintainable code and well-structured graphical interfaces under real project deadlines.
• Comfort reading technical drawings, wire lists, and specifications and turning them into working logic.
• Strong diagnostic skills for isolating hardware, software, and configuration problems during commissioning and support.
• Clear written and verbal communication for coordinating with multi-disciplinary project teams.
