This Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist - FT - Day/Evenings position with Marywashingtonhealthcare places you at the center of interventional and diagnostic cardiac care in Fredericksburg. As a full-time team member you will support physicians and nursing colleagues throughout catheterization procedures, contribute to patient safety, and help maintain an efficient lab environment that meets high clinical standards. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Set up the catheterization laboratory, verify equipment readiness, and prepare sterile fields before each procedure
• Assist the cardiologist and care team during diagnostic catheterizations, angioplasty, stent placement, and related interventions
• Operate fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring, and imaging systems while capturing high-quality images
• Observe patient condition, vital signs, and ECG data continuously, alerting the team to any changes
• Handle catheters, guidewires, and other devices in a sterile manner and document usage accurately
• Complete procedure records, charge capture, and inventory tracking in the electronic system
• Restock supplies, perform daily equipment checks, and support routine lab maintenance after cases

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, or equivalent program
• Current credentials appropriate for cath lab practice, such as RCIS or ARRT with demonstrated cath lab competence
• Hands-on experience assisting cardiac catheterization procedures preferred
• Solid knowledge of cardiac anatomy, sterile technique, radiation safety, and emergency response protocols
• Current BLS certification; ACLS strongly preferred
• Ability to work full-time day and evening shifts consistently and to remain standing for extended periods while wearing lead protection
• Clear communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams under time-sensitive conditions
