The Opportunity

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist with the collection and organisation of geophysical field measurements and survey datasets.
• Support processing, visualisation and quality checks of geophysical records under guidance from senior staff.
• Help prepare maps, diagrams and preliminary interpretations that feed into larger technical reports.
• Participate in equipment setup, calibration and basic maintenance for geophysical instruments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to document findings and maintain accurate project records.
• Conduct literature reviews and data compilation tasks that strengthen project background knowledge.

Who We're Looking For

• Current enrolment in a geophysics, geology, earth sciences or closely related degree programme.
• Foundational understanding of common geophysical methods and measurement principles.
• Familiarity with data handling tools and basic scientific software packages.
• Reliable, organised approach combined with clear written and spoken communication skills.
• Willingness to support both office analysis and occasional field activities at sites linked to 3 Locations.
• Ability to manage study commitments alongside the demands of a full-time Werkstudent Geophysik (m/w/d) placement.
