- Collaborate daily with analytics, product, and platform colleagues to agree data contracts, service levels, and delivery priorities.
- Instrument pipelines with monitoring, automated tests, and alerting so that failures are detected and resolved quickly.
- Embed data-quality rules, lineage capture, and governance practices into every critical dataset.
- Assess new tools and patterns, then recommend pragmatic upgrades to the shared engineering toolkit.
- Conduct design and code reviews while mentoring junior data engineers through hands-on guidance.
Requirements
- Demonstrated track record shipping production data-engineering solutions at a senior or staff-equivalent level.
- Expert-level SQL skills for intricate transformations, tuning, and complex joins across large volumes.
- Proficiency in Python or a comparable language for pipeline logic, tooling, and automation.
- Practical experience with cloud data services, distributed processing engines, and workflow orchestration platforms.
- Solid grounding in dimensional and normalised modelling techniques suited to both transactional and analytical systems.
- Clear written and verbal communication that translates technical detail for diverse stakeholder audiences.
- Habit of producing clean, tested, repeatable, and well-documented code.
- Ability to perform full-time onsite work at the Home Office - Bengaluru location.
