What This Role Involves

This is a hands-on leadership position at the core of our expanding retail operations in Johannesburg. As Retail Store Manager, you'll own the complete in-store experience—from building a high-performing team and meeting sales targets to ensuring operational excellence and creating a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers returning. You'll be the driving force behind your store's success, balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop your store team to deliver outstanding service and drive individual performance
• Manage store operations, including inventory, stock levels, visual merchandising, and compliance with company standards
• Drive sales and revenue targets whilst maintaining healthy margins and cost control
• Create an engaging shopping environment that reflects the MyRunway brand and keeps customers engaged
• Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to elevate the in-store experience
• Handle customer concerns with professionalism and resolve issues swiftly
• Ensure the store meets health, safety, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail management or a similar leadership role
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving sales and profitability
• Excellent people management and team-building skills
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings and weekends as required
• A passion for fashion and understanding of the retail landscape
