Unmanned Aviation Vehicle Consultant

Saint Vincent College seeks an Unmanned Aviation Vehicle Consultant to establish and advance a comprehensive drone education program in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. This full-time position, reporting to the Dean of McKenna School, offers the opportunity to pioneer an innovative UAV program while building strategic industry partnerships and economic development initiatives.

What This Role Involves

As an Unmanned Aviation Vehicle Consultant at Saint Vincent College, you will serve as the architect of our emerging drone education program. You'll engage with educational institutions, private industry, and local business leaders to create a robust ecosystem supporting drone technology education and training. Your work will connect academic excellence with real-world industry needs, positioning our program as a leader in unmanned aviation technology in the region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and cultivate relationships with educational institutions, industry partners, and community stakeholders in the unmanned aviation sector
• Facilitate the design and implementation of comprehensive drone education program offerings
• Identify business development and economic opportunity initiatives related to UAV technology and training
• Coordinate with McKenna School leadership and academic departments to integrate drone curriculum and hands-on learning experiences
• Research industry standards, certifications, and best practices in unmanned aviation education
• Serve as a liaison between Saint Vincent College and potential business, government, and educational partners

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience in unmanned aviation technology, drone operations, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated success building relationships and partnerships within the aviation, technology, or education sectors
• Strong understanding of drone industry standards, regulations, and emerging applications
• Excellent communication and networking skills with ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders
• Experience in program development, business development, or educational consulting is a plus
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in aviation, engineering, business, or a related discipline
