HVAC Project Manager

Gpac is seeking an HVAC Project Manager in Des Plaines, Cook County for this full-time position managing commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the greater Chicagoland region. In this role, you'll drive the success of large-scale HVAC and mechanical initiatives from inception through completion.

About the Role

A well-established Midwest mechanical contractor is building its project management team. They're looking for an experienced HVAC Project Manager to oversee complex commercial and industrial construction work, including projects valued up to $5 million. You'll manage timelines, budgets, and teams while serving as the key contact for owners, general contractors, and other project stakeholders throughout the process.

What You'll Do

• Direct HVAC and mechanical construction projects through every phase, from planning to handoff
• Act as the primary liaison between owners, general contractors, and project stakeholders
• Manage project budgets, schedules, material sourcing, and resource deployment
• Coordinate with trades, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain project flow
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and quality standards on all job sites
• Track progress, identify risks, and communicate status updates to key parties

What You Bring

• Proven track record managing commercial or industrial HVAC and mechanical projects
• Strong foundation in construction project management, scheduling, and cost control
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment specifications, and installation practices
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
• Ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting firm deadlines
• Experience in the Chicago or Midwest construction market is preferred
