Role Overview

As Tower Lead, you own technical direction and operational excellence for your assigned infrastructure or systems tower. You oversee the implementation, maintenance, and security of mission-critical federal systems while ensuring strict compliance with federal IT standards. Your leadership spans both technical execution and team development, bridging IT operations with federal stakeholder requirements in an environment where reliability and security are non-negotiable.

Core Duties

• Lead and mentor technical staff responsible for tower operations, infrastructure management, and system support
• Oversee change management processes for system modifications, evaluating technical impact and regulatory alignment before implementation
• Ensure mission-critical systems maintain uptime and performance while adhering to federal compliance frameworks
• Conduct risk assessments on planned changes and coordinate with stakeholders to authorize modifications
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot critical issues, and implement solutions that preserve operational continuity
• Document processes, maintain compliance records, and support federal audits

Requirements

• Proven experience leading technical teams or managing complex IT operations
• Deep knowledge of federal IT compliance standards and mission-critical system management
• Strong understanding of IT change management, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements
• Technical expertise in infrastructure, systems administration, or related IT disciplines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Active or eligible for federal security clearance (preferred)
