IT Manager

Robert Half is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead enterprise IT operations in La Vergne, Rutherford County. In this full-time role, you'll combine strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership to ensure stable, secure, and high-performing IT services.

What This Role Involves

As IT Manager, you'll own the technology foundation that keeps the organization running smoothly. You'll direct IT operations across networks, servers, and end-user devices while leading a technical team through infrastructure challenges and security priorities. This position balances high-level strategic planning with the technical depth required to guide your team and mentor staff on complex systems and emerging threats.

Core Duties

• Direct all IT operations, including network infrastructure, server management, and desktop support
• Lead, develop, and supervise IT staff; manage hiring, training, and performance accountability
• Evaluate, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships and technology service contracts
• Plan and execute IT projects that strengthen infrastructure reliability and security posture
• Establish and enforce security policies, monitoring, and compliance across all systems
• Manage IT budgets and capital expenditures to optimize technology investments
• Lead incident response and guide resolution of critical system failures

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing IT teams and enterprise-scale infrastructure
• Solid technical foundation in networks, servers, and cybersecurity practices
• Proven ability in vendor management and technology project delivery
• Experience with IT budgeting and long-term technology strategy
• Strong leadership and communication across technical and business stakeholders
• Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, or equivalent) preferred
