What You'll Do

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to Deaf and hard of hearing students' communication and language development needs

• Assess student communication skills and track academic progress through regular monitoring and evaluation
• Create an inclusive classroom environment where Deaf and hard of hearing students feel supported and empowered

Skills & Qualifications

• Teaching certification or eligibility to teach Deaf and hard of hearing students
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or demonstrated commitment to becoming proficient
• Experience working with Deaf and hard of hearing students in educational settings
• Strong understanding of Deaf culture and the needs of this student population
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiate instruction
