TalentBurst, Inc. is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical-Surgical specialty for day shift in Carlsbad, California. This is a 13-week opportunity with an immediate start available.
Role Overview
As a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse on our day shift team in Carlsbad, California, you'll provide direct patient care to individuals recovering from medical and surgical procedures. Working 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., you'll engage in a fast-paced environment where clinical expertise and compassionate care drive patient outcomes. This 13-week assignment offers the chance to expand your nursing skills while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on patient care including assessment, monitoring, and treatment for medical and surgical patients
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond promptly to patient needs
- Float between units and adapt to varying patient care demands as assigned
- Maintain on-call availability to support operational needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, quality patient care
- Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with clinical protocols
Skills & Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred
- Ability to work floating assignments and maintain on-call availability
- Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered care approach
