What This Role Involves

As a Travel Cath Lab Technologist with Triage Staffing, you'll support complex cardiac procedures in a fast-paced medical setting. Working 10-hour day shifts (40 hours per week), you'll assist interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, operate specialized imaging equipment, and ensure patient safety throughout diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization procedures. This travel assignment brings you to Lafayette, Indiana, where you'll contribute to a healthcare team serving the region's cardiac care needs while gaining valuable experience in varied clinical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain catheterization laboratory equipment, supplies, and sterile fields for procedures
• Position patients appropriately and assist with vascular access and catheter placement
• Monitor hemodynamic parameters and patient vital signs during interventions
• Operate and manage imaging systems, including fluoroscopy and angiography equipment
• Document procedural details and maintain accurate patient records
• Follow all safety protocols and infection control standards in the lab environment
• Communicate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, and clinical team members

Skills & Qualifications

• Current certification as a Registered Cardiac Catheterization Technologist (RCCT) or equivalent
• Active, unrestricted healthcare license appropriate to your state and specialty
• Minimum 2 years of recent cath lab experience
• Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and cardiovascular anatomy
• Proficiency with imaging technology and hemodynamic monitoring systems
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity, procedure-driven environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
