Multi-Skilled Mechanic

Join Daikin Applied Americas as a Multi-Skilled Mechanic in Staunton, Virginia, working the 2nd shift (2:00pm–10:00pm) at our facility in Verona. The Opportunity

This is a full-time position where you'll work on large-scale HVAC systems and industrial mechanical equipment. You'll join a team that values craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement. Your technical expertise will directly impact the reliability of systems that serve thousands of customers across North America. We offer competitive pay starting at $36.07 per hour, plus an additional $0.80 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift work, along with comprehensive benefits including paid time off, 88 hours of holiday pay annually, medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and a referral bonus program.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostic troubleshooting on HVAC equipment and mechanical systems
• Execute repairs and overhauls of complex mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals to guide repair and maintenance work
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and document all work performed
• Adhere to all safety protocols and assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production and quality standards

Who We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in mechanical repair, HVAC maintenance, or a related skilled trade
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read technical documentation and understand mechanical principles
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
• Reliability, safety awareness, and a team-oriented mindset
• Availability to work 2nd shift (2:00pm–10:00pm) in Staunton
