Ymca Of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a full-time Maintenance - Groundskeeper in Saint Paul, Decatur County to maintain and enhance our facility's outdoor spaces through skilled landscaping and dedicated grounds upkeep.
Role Overview
As a Groundskeeper, you'll be responsible for the beauty and functionality of our facility's outdoor environments. Using both motorized and manual tools, you'll handle landscaping tasks, manage seasonal vegetation, and ensure our grounds remain attractive and welcoming for our members and visitors year-round.
Core Duties
- Operate motorized landscaping equipment including weed eaters, leaf blowers, trimmers, and hedge cutting shears
- Perform detailed grounds maintenance using hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and spades
- Maintain lawn appearance through regular edging, trimming, and vegetation control
- Execute seasonal landscaping projects and specialized grounds work
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in proper working condition
- Report maintenance concerns and contribute to solving grounds-related issues
What You Bring
- Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related field (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification (preferred)
- Competence in safely operating motorized landscaping tools
- Skill and comfort using hand tools for grounds maintenance
