Role Overview

As a Shift Supervisor, you'll guide your team through every rush and quiet moment, ensuring each customer leaves with a genuine connection and perfectly crafted beverage. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll set the tone for operational excellence, partner development, and community warmth during your shift. You'll report to the Store Manager and take ownership of everything from quality standards to team engagement.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee shift operations and lead a team of baristas and café staff with clear direction and support
• Ensure consistent quality in beverage preparation, food handling, and customer service across your team
• Train, mentor, and develop partners to build their skills and confidence in their roles
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe coffeehouse environment that reflects Starbucks standards
• Handle cash operations, inventory management, and opening and closing procedures
• Build guest relationships and respond to customer concerns with genuine care and solutions
• Communicate effectively with store management and coordinate with other shift supervisors

Who We're Looking For

• Previous supervisory, team lead, or strong customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
• Natural ability to inspire and motivate a diverse group of people toward shared goals
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in high-volume settings
• Comfortable with point-of-sale systems, cash handling, and basic inventory tasks
• Passionate about coffee culture and creating meaningful customer connections
• Reliable, flexible, and willing to work varied shift times including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
