Staff C++ Software Engineer – Static AI Engine

As a Staff C++ Software Engineer at Static AI Engine, you will be tasked with leading the development of the agent-side core static malware detection engines across Windows, macOS, Linux, and cloud environments. Working within a highly collaborative, cross-functional team of software engineers, data scientists, and ML engineers, you will translate cutting-edge security research into production-ready code. You will be responsible for driving the architecture of a disruptive security product, designing robust detection flows, and ensuring our engines run with optimal performance at a massive global scale.

What Will You Do?

Primary responsibilities include:

• Develop the agent side of SentinelOne’s static detection engines, responsible for scanning billions of customer files daily to protect tens of millions of endpoints worldwide.
• Design detection flows and implement cutting-edge static detection research into our industry-leading endpoint security product in collaboration with Windows, macOS, and Linux platform teams.
• Tune multi-threaded production code for maximum performance and stability across heterogeneous OS and hardware environments.
• Work closely with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to translate advanced research into production-ready detection engines and partner with platform teams to safely ship updates.
• Make innovative improvements to the core patented AI engine models and the training data pipeline to maximize global detection efficacy.
• Own the entire production lifecycle of your deliverables by maintaining high coding standards, thorough testing, and healthy CI/CD practices.

What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?

Ideal candidates will have:

• Several years of professional experience developing complex, high-performance production systems.
• Strong technical command of modern low-level C++ programming.
• Proven production experience with a high bar for coding quality, software testing, and working effectively within CI pipelines.
• Solid software engineering or Computer Science background with a demonstrated ability to quickly master new technological fields.
• Experience developing cross-platform components and a solid understanding of different operating systems such as Windows, macOS, or Linux.
