Staff Software Engineer (Full Stack – Go/Java, React, TypeScript) – Agent Platform Detection

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Agent Platform Detection team, you will build the SaaS services that power detection, triage, and response for alerts across SentinelOne’s platform at extraordinary scale. This is a backend-oriented fullstack role requiring strong backend depth in Go, Java, or similar languages, paired with modern frontend experience in React and TypeScript. You will work across service boundaries, data flows, APIs, and user-facing workflows to ensure alerts move reliably and efficiently from event ingestion through investigation and action.

What Will You Do?

Primary responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and support backend systems (cca 80% of your work in Go and/or Java) and APIs that power alert propagation, alert lifecycle management, triage workflows, and response capabilities across our SaaS platform.
• Own and evolve the team’s frontend components (cca 20% of your work) in the SentinelOne console, building and maintaining React/TypeScript user experiences that expose complex detection and response workflows in a clean and usable way.
• Take features from technical design through production delivery, leading design discussions and making architectural improvements within the team’s feature area.
• Build solutions that improve availability, scalability, stability, and observability in production systems, and help troubleshoot complex issues when they occur.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, perform code reviews, and help raise engineering quality across the team.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to refine requirements, turn them into technical solutions, and deliver customer value across multiple development iterations.
• Participate in operating the services you build, including on-call, incident response, postmortems, and continuous improvement of runbooks and diagnostics.
• Mentor peers and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing through reviews, technical discussions, and hands-on collaboration.

What Skills and Knowledge Will You Bring?

Ideal candidates will have:

• Several years of professional experience building backend systems in Golang, Java, or similar languages.
• Strong backend orientation with experience designing services, APIs, and data flows in distributed systems.
• Practical frontend experience with React and TypeScript, with the ability to own production UI components for a backend-heavy product area.
• Experience with cloud-native SaaS environments and modern engineering tooling.
• Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, observability, and secure software development practices.
• Experience working with databases and high-throughput systems, ideally with technologies such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and related infrastructure common to high-scale backend platforms.
• Ability to independently drive well-defined features through full delivery and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
• Strong communication skills and a practical, product-minded approach to solving technical problems.
• A plus would be experience in cybersecurity, security event processing, alerting systems, or endpoint/security products.
