Kitchen Designer

Home Depot is hiring a Kitchen Designer for our Pittsburgh, Allegheny County showroom, where you'll help homeowners transform their kitchens and bathrooms from vision to completion. This is a full-time position that combines design expertise with genuine customer service in a collaborative retail environment.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Designer at Home Depot, you're the creative consultant customers trust when planning one of their home's most meaningful renovations. You'll guide clients through design options, present product solutions at multiple price points, and provide the expert knowledge and visual tools they need to make confident decisions. Your role bridges design and sales—helping customers see themselves in their future kitchen or bath while building real relationships along the way.

What You'll Do

• Meet with customers to understand their vision, budget, and specific needs for kitchen and bathroom projects
• Present curated design options at different quality and price tiers so every customer finds the right fit
• Use design software and showroom displays to help customers visualize layouts, materials, and finishes
• Provide informed recommendations on cabinetry, countertops, appliances, fixtures, and flooring
• Walk customers through installation options, timelines, and available services
• Prepare design samples and materials for customers to take home and review
• Support customers beyond the sale, ensuring their project stays on track from consultation through completion

What We're Looking For

• Excellent listening and communication skills—you ask good questions and translate answers into solutions
• Genuine enthusiasm for helping customers navigate design challenges and feel confident in their choices
• Working knowledge of kitchen and bathroom products, materials, and installation basics, or genuine interest in building this expertise
• Comfort with design software and technology for presentations and planning
• Customer-first mindset paired with sales orientation; you're motivated by customer satisfaction and closing projects
• Collaborative spirit for working with Home Depot team members and contractors
• Availability for shifts during store hours, including evenings and weekends as scheduled
