About the Role

BridgeValley CTC is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to deliver high-quality instruction in our Medical Laboratory Technology program through the Academic Affairs Division. As an adjunct instructor, you will play a vital role in preparing students for clinical laboratory careers by combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on training. This position includes teaching both traditional credit courses and accelerated course formats, ensuring students gain competency in laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and professional standards.

What You'll Do

• Teach credit-bearing laboratory courses and clinical components to Medical Laboratory Technology students
• Deliver instruction in both standard and accelerated course formats as assigned
• Develop and deliver course materials, lectures, and practical demonstrations aligned with program learning outcomes
• Supervise student lab activities, ensuring proper technique, safety compliance, and professionalism
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments
• Organize and maintain laboratory work areas to ensure a clean, safe, and functional learning environment
• Assess student performance through exams, practicals, and laboratory projects
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
• Collaborate with full-time faculty and program leadership to support student success and program goals

What We're Looking For

• Associate degree or higher in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a related discipline
• Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) preferred
• Recent professional experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare laboratory setting
• Demonstrated ability to teach and communicate complex laboratory concepts clearly
• Knowledge of laboratory safety standards, CLIA regulations, and quality assurance practices
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Commitment to student success and collaborative education
