Bus Monitor

Classical Charter Schools of America, serving students across southeastern North Carolina, is hiring a part-time Bus Monitor to join our Wilmington campus. This is an essential position supporting the safe, orderly transportation of our K-5 students at Classical Charter Schools of Wilmington in Wilmington, North Carolina.

About the Role

As a Bus Monitor, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and positive behavior of students during daily bus transportation. This part-time position requires attentiveness, patience, and a genuine commitment to fostering a respectful school community from the moment students board until they arrive at school or home.

What You'll Do

• Supervise students on assigned school buses, maintaining a safe and orderly environment
• Assist students with boarding, seating, and exiting procedures
• Enforce bus rules and safety expectations, including proper seatbelt use
• Help younger students adjust to bus routines and provide encouragement
• Report behavioral concerns, safety issues, or incidents to school administration
• Communicate effectively with bus drivers, families, and school staff
• Support a positive, inclusive atmosphere that reflects our school's values
