Redwood Area School District 2897 is seeking a dedicated full-time High School Paraprofessional to support students and classroom instruction within our special education programs. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with high school learners in Redwood Area, helping them achieve academic and personal growth.
About the Role
As a High School Paraprofessional, you'll play an essential part in our special education team, working Monday through Friday according to the school calendar. Collaborating closely with special education teachers and support staff, you'll help create an inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to high school students in special education classrooms
- Assist with classroom management, student transitions, and engagement during instruction
- Support implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and student-specific accommodations
- Help students build academic, social, and life skills for success in high school and beyond
- Develop positive relationships with students, teachers, and families to support student progress
- Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment throughout the day
