Burnco is hiring a Heavy Duty Mechanic for our Northglenn, Adams County operations. In this full-time role, you'll maintain and repair the sophisticated equipment that powers our concrete, asphalt, and aggregate production—work that directly supports the infrastructure serving Colorado communities.
About the Role
You'll be the skilled technician behind the scenes, keeping our fleet of heavy construction machinery running reliably and safely. This is hands-on work where precision and expertise translate directly into the quality of materials we deliver and the on-time completion of projects across the region.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections on heavy equipment, including compressors, pumps, mixers, and related machinery
- Diagnose mechanical failures and execute repairs using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Replace worn components—engines, hydraulic systems, electrical assemblies, and wear parts—to keep equipment operational
- Document maintenance and repair work, maintain equipment logs, and track service intervals
- Support equipment operators by troubleshooting performance issues and ensuring safe operating conditions
- Work collaboratively with operations and management to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or similar role—knowledge of construction machinery, hydraulics, and diesel engines is valuable
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
- Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documentation
- Reliable, safety-conscious approach to equipment maintenance and workplace protocols
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites as needed
- Willingness to learn and grow within a sustainable, innovation-focused company
