As an RN CICU Rotating at UCHealth in Falcon, El Paso County, Colorado, you'll provide specialized cardiac nursing care on a full-time basis with rotating day and night shifts. About the Role

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) is a specialized environment where nurses provide expert care to patients recovering from cardiac events and procedures. As an RN CICU Rotating, you'll work with a skilled interdisciplinary team including cardiologists, physicians, and support staff to deliver complex, compassionate patient care. Your rotating schedule will include days, nights, and weekends, ensuring 24/7 excellence in cardiac patient monitoring and management.

What You'll Do

• Deliver direct, hands-on nursing care to cardiac patients in a critical care setting
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic data continuously
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and interventions with precision
• Communicate clinical changes and patient updates to physicians and care team members
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Educate patients and families about heart health, recovery processes, and self-care
• Uphold strict infection control, safety protocols, and quality standards
• Contribute to unit initiatives that improve patient outcomes and team performance

What We're Looking For

• Current, unrestricted Colorado registered nurse (RN) license
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Capability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including overnight and weekend hours
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Strong interpersonal and team communication skills
• Genuine commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care
• Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, intensive care environment
