About the Role
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you'll provide specialized respiratory care to patients throughout our medical facility. This part-time position allows you to contribute your clinical expertise to a leading healthcare system while maintaining schedule flexibility.
What You'll Do
- Assess and manage patients with cardiopulmonary conditions using evidence-based treatment protocols
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation systems and oxygen delivery devices
- Perform and interpret diagnostic testing including pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and modify respiratory care plans
- Monitor patient response to therapy and document clinical findings in the medical record
- Respond to emergency situations and provide airway management as needed
- Maintain and sterilize respiratory equipment according to hospital protocols and regulatory standards
What We're Looking For
- Valid RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification or CRT credential with pathway to RRT status
- Current Texas state licensure to practice respiratory therapy
- Strong foundation in respiratory physiology, mechanical ventilation, and critical care principles
- Ability to thrive in dynamic clinical environments and respond calmly to changing patient needs
- Strong teamwork and communication skills across all disciplines
- Commitment to patient-centered care and maintaining clinical excellence
