Personal Training Director

Crunch Fitness is seeking a full-time Personal Training Director to lead our fitness coaching team at our Long Beach facility in Los Angeles County. In this leadership role, you'll drive member satisfaction, cultivate a high-performing training team, and embody Crunch's commitment to making fitness accessible and fun.

About the Role

As Personal Training Director at Crunch Fitness in Long Beach, you'll oversee all personal training operations, from staff hiring and development to program delivery and member retention. You'll be the face of our personal training department, setting the standard for professionalism, expertise, and service excellence while supporting both individual trainers and our broader fitness community.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and develop the personal training team, ensuring consistent coaching quality and professional growth
• Drive training program sales and member engagement, working toward revenue and client acquisition goals
• Maintain high standards for punctuality, appearance, certification, and member interaction across your department
• Create and deliver individualized fitness experiences that help members achieve their health and wellness goals
• Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and address gaps in execution or compliance
• Communicate and reinforce Crunch Fitness company policies, values, and operational procedures
• Collaborate with club management to integrate personal training with broader facility initiatives
• Lead by example—demonstrating the work ethic, knowledge, and passion you expect from your team

What We're Looking For

• Proven leadership and team management experience in fitness, personal training, or a comparable service environment
• Strong knowledge of fitness training principles, exercise science, and program design
• Current personal training certification from an accredited organization (ACE, NASM, ISSA, or similar)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—comfortable engaging members, staff, and management
• Ability to motivate, coach, and hold others accountable to high standards
• Track record of hitting targets, whether sales, member retention, or performance metrics
• Full-time availability with flexibility for evening and weekend member interactions
