Director of Supply Chain

Join Air Boss of America as Director of Supply Chain in Auburn Hills, Michigan, where you'll lead our procurement organization and manage the supplier relationships critical to our Defense division's success. This full-time leadership role reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

About the Role

As Director of Supply Chain, you'll take the helm of a talented purchasing team while overseeing relationships with suppliers throughout our global network. Your mission is straightforward: build and maintain a supply chain that excels on three fronts—cost optimization, quality assurance, and on-time delivery—all essential to meeting the rigorous demands of our Defense sector partners.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop a team of purchasing professionals dedicated to supplier relationship management
• Oversee contract negotiations, vendor selection, and ongoing partnership development with suppliers worldwide
• Design and implement procurement systems that balance financial discipline with quality and delivery performance
• Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure supplier performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Manage supplier risk and ensure compliance with our standards and Defense industry requirements
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and finance teams to align supply chain strategy with company objectives
• Present supply chain performance, initiatives, and forecasts to senior leadership and the Chief Operating Officer

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience in supply chain management, procurement, or purchasing leadership roles
• Proven track record leading and mentoring procurement or purchasing teams
• Deep understanding of supplier management, vendor negotiations, and contract administration
• Strong background in procurement operations and supply chain optimization
• Demonstrated ability to balance cost management with quality and delivery excellence
• Experience in the Defense industry or government contracting is highly valued
• Excellent analytical skills and proficiency with supply chain metrics and reporting
• Strategic thinker with proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
