About the Role
As an Auto Care Center Service Writer at Walmart, you'll take the lead in managing customer interactions and service documentation at our automotive service facility. This is a hands-on position where you'll directly impact customer satisfaction while keeping our service operation running efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Greet customers and understand their vehicle service needs and concerns
- Document vehicle issues and prepare detailed work orders for our service technicians
- Explain recommended repairs and maintenance services in clear, accessible language
- Answer customer questions about service timelines, pricing, and vehicle health
- Coordinate with technicians to provide customers with progress updates
- Process payments and handle customer service transactions
- Schedule service appointments and manage the service queue
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Build customer loyalty through professional, courteous service
