Northeast Family Services in Peterborough, Hillsborough County is hiring a full-time Parent Aide – Educator to join our mental health and family services team. About the Role
As a Parent Aide – Educator with Northeast Family Services, you'll work alongside mental health professionals, educators, and family specialists to support children's growth, learning, and emotional development. You'll be the bridge between our programs, families, and community, helping create a welcoming, supportive environment where children thrive. Your role combines direct program support with family engagement—building trust with parents and caregivers while reinforcing what children are learning in our services.
What You'll Do
- Assist educators and clinical staff in delivering age-appropriate learning activities and therapeutic support
- Support children's social, emotional, and behavioral development in group and individual settings
- Help implement curriculum activities and educational programs designed for our populations
- Build relationships with families through regular communication and involvement in program planning
- Support classroom and program operations, including preparation of materials and documentation
- Model positive behavior and provide consistent, nurturing guidance to children
- Collaborate with our team to identify and address each child's individual needs
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Genuine passion for working with children and families
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and grow in a mental health and education setting
