Research Associate 1

The University of Miami's Department of Pathology is recruiting a full-time Research Associate 1 to support our research initiatives in Miami, Miami-Dade County. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful scientific work within an established academic medical center.

About the Role

As a Research Associate 1 in Pathology at the University of Miami, you will serve as a key member of our research team, providing essential support to faculty investigators and research projects. What You'll Do

• Assist with the design, execution, and documentation of research studies and experiments
• Prepare and maintain laboratory specimens, samples, and equipment according to established protocols
• Collect and organize research data with precision and accuracy
• Support literature reviews and contribute to research documentation and reporting
• Collaborate with faculty, graduate students, and other research team members
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and institutional research policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervising researchers and department leadership

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, life sciences, or related field
• Demonstrated interest in research methodology and scientific inquiry
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
• Ability to follow complex protocols and procedures precisely
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Prior laboratory experience, coursework, or internship experience is preferred
