About the Role

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Headway, you'll deliver confidential, evidence-based mental health counseling to clients through secure teletherapy. This position allows you to build your client roster independently, with Headway handling the administrative and technical infrastructure so you can focus on clinical care and practice growth.

What You'll Do

• Conduct individual teletherapy sessions with clients seeking mental health support and counseling services
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with client goals and evidence-based therapeutic approaches
• Maintain thorough clinical documentation and session notes in compliance with state regulations and HIPAA requirements
• Build and manage your own caseload at a pace that aligns with your practice goals
• Coordinate with insurance providers to verify coverage and facilitate the claims process
• Provide crisis assessment and appropriate referrals when clinically indicated

What We're Looking For

• Current, active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in good standing
• Ability to practice teletherapy independently and manage your own client caseload
• Experience with insurance-based billing or willingness to learn Headway's process
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and professional ethical standards
• Reliable internet connection and a private, secure space to conduct therapy sessions
