As a Senior Content Delivery Network Engineer at CVS Health, you'll lead the design, deployment, and ongoing optimization of mission-critical CDN infrastructure. What You'll Do
- Architect and maintain CDN systems that deliver healthcare content reliably across multiple geographic regions
- Optimize network performance through strategic edge server configuration and traffic routing analysis
- Implement monitoring and alerting systems to track CDN health and identify performance issues
- Lead incident response for network-level outages, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal service disruption
- Collaborate with application developers, DevOps engineers, and security teams to integrate CDN capabilities
- Evaluate emerging CDN technologies and platforms to enhance system capabilities and cost efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for network infrastructure management
- Develop automation solutions to streamline CDN operations and reduce manual overhead
What We're Looking For
- Senior-level experience designing and managing content delivery networks at scale
- Deep expertise in load balancing, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, and edge computing architecture
- Proven track record optimizing network performance for high-traffic, mission-critical systems
- Strong knowledge of CDN platforms, caching strategies, and content routing algorithms
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools for network management
- Solid understanding of network security, DDoS mitigation, and compliance requirements
