Registrar Transition Coordinator – School Superintendent (Prescott)

Yavapai County Government is seeking a part-time Registrar Transition Coordinator with the School Superintendent's office in Iron Springs, Yavapai County. This position supports academic transitions at the Juvenile Justice Center in Prescott, working approximately 20 hours per week.

The Opportunity

As Registrar Transition Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in helping students navigate educational transitions within the juvenile justice system. This part-time role combines recordkeeping expertise with direct student support, ensuring every student's academic file is accurate, complete, and ready to facilitate their continued education.

Responsibilities

• Create, organize, and maintain permanent student academic records with attention to detail and regulatory compliance
• Process student enrollment, transcript requests, and related educational documentation
• Prepare monthly reports and summaries of registrar activities and student record status
• Provide academic instruction and guidance to students preparing for educational transitions
• Coordinate with educators to track student progress and academic readiness
• Fulfill records requests from schools, districts, and authorized parties in timely fashion
• Protect student privacy and maintain secure handling of confidential educational information

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience with recordkeeping, clerical work, or administrative functions
• Working knowledge of computer systems and data management applications
• Excellent organizational and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive student information
• Background screening and clearance as required for the position
